A stable power supply and a high-speed and stable internet connection are two of our major requirements to join and complete our program.
If your area is prone to power outages or unstable internet service, there are still things you can do to make sure that you don’t face any power or internet issues:
For power outages:
- Acquire a small generator (or an extra battery for your laptop) to ensure your computer's power supply is always on.
- Get at least one alternative source of internet connection that is not dependent on your electrical grid.
For unstable internet connection:
Get at least an alternative source of internet connection that is unlikely to fail at the same time as your primary internet connection.
- If you're using WiFi or a home connection as your primary internet connection, then a portable WiFi device or a cell phone and mobile plan for hot-spotting are good options.
- If your primary internet connection is a mobile hotspot, then you'll need to make sure that your "Plan B" internet sources are not on the same network as your primary connection.
